I love how their post says “A better, more positive Tumblr” as if female nipples are what’s ruining the experience on this website and not bullies, racists, homophobes and actual nazis
reminder to sign these ( 1 , 2 ) petitions against tumblr’s plans to remove NSFW content from the 17th. They may not have any effect because tumblr staff have proven time & again that they don’t rly listen to their audience, but it’s super quick and easy to do so it’s worth a shot!
Fwiw, i won’t be leaving rn. Until this blog is deleted or too censored to run or this place becomes a wasteland (already rapidly moving that way…) i’ll still be here! 💕💕

Pillowfort is an alternative to tumblr. You can post art, gifsets, photos, metas, etc. But it’s MUCH more organized and better developed than tumblr.
Here are some more reasons why Pillowfort is better than tumblr:
- Security. The website is currently offline because of a security threat. Unlike tumblr, as soon as they noticed a flaw in their security they decided to take the whole thing down rather than jeopardize its user’s I safety. They also were completely honest about what was happening and why. That’s the kind of integrity I respect.
- Threaded conversations. You can have long discussion without clogging everyone’s dashboard.
- Fan Communities. we can organize ourselves in groups to talk about our interests. Instead of having multiple accounts, we can simply join different groups. Example: @flaminganakin created one for fans of the Skywalker family (Skywalker Family Feels).
- You can control who can see your posts. When you post something you can decide to make it public, private or just for a select group of users (only mutuals or only followers).
- No wank. They have a strict guideline that forbids any sort of tumblr’s most toxic behavior (no callouts posts, no shamming, no hate speech, etc.)
- Blacklist. A blacklist/blocking system that actually works.
- Editing posts. When you delete/edit it will affect ALL the reblog. On Tumblr if you delete a post it will only disappear from your own blog. On pillowfort it will disappear from the website.
- No adds. Pillowfort is funded by its users.
- No pornbots.
